Message from the Presidents
Between December 2 and 5, at CentroSul, in Florianópolis, we will have the honor of holding the 4th International Congress of Courts of Accounts (CITC), a milestone in strengthening public governance and improving the external control system.
This is not just another event on the agenda of our Courts of Accounts, but a living space for dialogue, reflection, and exchange of experiences, which goes beyond borders and reaffirms our role as guardians of transparency, efficiency, and ethics in public administration.
Under the aegis of four thematic axes crucial for the future — Human Rights and Reduction of Inequalities; Industry and Sustainable Economic Growth; Environment and Climate Challenge; and Governance, Justice and Cooperation — the meeting reaffirms our commitment to an external control that is not only technical, but also human and transformative.
The event will feature renowned speakers and prominent panelists, whose expertise and vision will provide in-depth and action-oriented debates. In addition, the presence of ministers with unique perspectives further enriches the debates, adding recognition and depth to the scheduled discussions. These moments reflect the greatness and plurality of the 4th CITC, which consolidates itself as a gathering of knowledge aimed at overcoming major contemporary challenges.
At this historic moment, in which global and local challenges intertwine, we need to rethink strategies and share trends. It is our duty to lead debates that provide solutions, and precisely for this reason, the 4th CITC will also be a space for uniting forces.
As we enter the inspiring environment of CentroSul, which will be the stage for the 4th CITC, the shared words, the experiences, and the proposals discussed and deliberated will represent a step toward building a more just, sustainable, and inclusive future. This gathering is not limited to its own strength; it reverberates in the offices that lead the Courts of Accounts and the Public Ministries of Accounts — members, auditors, external control auditors, staff, and collaborators. Everyone working within these institutions will have, in this space, the opportunity to renew values guided by integrity, diversity, and social responsibility.
We invite all of you to intensely experience this transformative moment. Participating in the 4th CITC is, above all, assuming a commitment to the collective construction of solutions that echo good practices, cooperation, and sustainability. May each of the days of the event be an invitation to reflection and, above all, to action.
To conclude, we leave here an excerpt from Carlos Drummond de Andrade, which inspires us to pursue, with courage, the great causes: “I only have two hands and the feeling of the world. But I am alone with a thousand tasks…” May we unite our strengths, intelligence, and dedication to transform the world’s feelings and needs into concrete and lasting actions.
We count on you at the 4th CITC!
